Tanu Minhas
Associate
Tanu practises in all areas of family law with experience relating to matrimonial, estate and civil disputes. She has appeared before and assisted clients in the BC Provincial Court and the BC Supreme Court.
Tanu has also engaged in alternative dispute resolution processes, including arbitration and mediation. Tanu obtained her Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University. During law school, Tanu worked as a Student Caseworker for Queen’s Legal Aid and served as a Group Leader for students enrolled in the Clinical Litigation Practice Course. She has also volunteered for Pro Bono Students’ Canada and was the President of the Queen’s Children and Youth Law Club.
Prior to attending law school, Tanu obtained her Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the University of Victoria, where she studied Economics and Environmental Studies.
Tanu has also previously worked in the Ministry of Children and Family Development as an Adjudicator. Since being called to the British Columbia Bar in 2024, Tanu has practised exclusively in the area of family law. She is committed to helping her clients negotiate fair settlements whenever possible, while also providing strong advocacy in court when litigation is necessary.
In her spare time, Tanu enjoys gardening, travelling and running with her dog. She is also fluent in Punjabi.
