Gabrielle (Gabby) Lees is Broadhurst & Kooy’s newest Articled Student, bringing a blend of business acumen and a deep commitment to legal advocacy.

Gabby holds a business management bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia, reflecting her business-oriented background. After completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as a junior accountant at a local tax accounting boutique. She later joined the Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers, where she deepened her commitment to community engagement and public service.

​

While earning her Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law, she pursued her passion for increasing access to justice and volunteerism by serving as co-president for the UBC Black Law Students’ Association, being both a clinician and clinic head with the Law Students Legal Advice Program, and contributing as a clinician with the UBC Innocence Project.

Always guided by compassion, Gabby is excited to bring her strategic mind and ardent advocacy to her family law practice.

Outside of the office, you can find her searching for public chess games while traveling the world, diligently working on becoming fluent in Spanish and Dutch, or increasing her already too extensive knowledge on pop-trivia.
