I was born and raised in Abbotsford, British Columbia and I received my undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia. I attended law school at the University of Alberta and received my LLB in 2008. I completed the Canadian Securities Course in 2008 and articled with a boutique securities firm in Vancouver. I was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2009 and I began my family law practice in 2010.
For nearly 10 years, I practiced family law at the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. Through this extensive litigation practice I learned first hand how beneficial a resolution can be when achieved outside of the traditional litigation model. It is for this reason that my practice focus is on out of court settlements.
I am a qualified collaborative law professional and an accredited family law mediator. I handle all aspects of family law but find complicated corporate and asset structures the most engaging as they require a creative and innovative approach. My goal is to find practical positive results for my clients so that they can move forward confidently into the next chapter of their lives.
I appreciate that this process is both overwhelming and highly emotional for most people and so I am committed to a family law practice that helps my clients quickly and efficiently.
In my spare time you will find me spending time with my family and my friends. I enjoy travelling, being active, and amazing food and wine.
