Prenuptial, Marriage & Cohabitation Agreements - $3,000

There are many good reasons to get a prenuptial, marriage, or cohabitation agreement.  Having clear expectations with your partner about what happens if things don't work out in your relationship can help you avoid acrimony and headaches later.  We strongly recommend that these types of agreements be professionally drafted to ensure that your wishes and expectations are clear in the event things do go wrong.

What this includes:

  • Instructions from our client about of the Prenuptial/Marriage or Cohabitation Agreement 

  • The initial draft of the Prenuptial/Marriage or Cohabitation Agreement

  • Review and signing of the Prenuptial/Marriage or Cohabitation Agreement with the client

 

What this does not include:

​

  • Taxes

  • Disbursements

  • Communication with opposing party or opposing counsel

  • Changes after the initial draft

  • Negotiating changes to the agreement

  • Additional time necessary to receive instructions from client or review draft with client over the 4-hour time period allocated

  • Reviewing disclosure

Uncontested Divorce  - $1,250

If you have already settled with your spouse and only need to finalize the divorce then you can obtain an uncontested divorce.  The paperwork needed by the court registry to obtain a divorce can be complicated and easy mess up.  Let us take care of it for you.

What this includes:

​

  • Drafting all the documents that need to be submitted to the court to obtain a divorce.

  • Taking your oath on the necessary sworn documents.

​

What this does not include:

​

  • Taxes

  • Disbursements including court filing fees

Uncontested Divorce

Separation Agreement  - $2,000

​

If you and your spouse have worked out an agreement and need a lawyer to prepare a legally binding agreement this might be a good fit for you.  We sadly see many people draft their own agreements only to end up in litigation later because the agreement was not professionally drafted.  Having a lawyer can help you have peace of mind that you can rely on your agreement in the future.

  • Instructions from our client about of the Separation Agreement 

  • The initial draft of the Separation Agreement

  • Review and signing of the Separation Agreement with the client

If your partner's lawyer has drafted Prenuptial, Marriage, or Cohabitation Agreement you need to know what your rights are and how the agreement changes them. We can help you understand exactly how your rights are impacted by the agreement.

  • Reviewing the Prenuptial or Marriage Agreement prior to the meeting

  • Meeting with lawyer to review the Prenuptial or Marriage Agreement together

​

What this does not include:

​

  • Taxes

  • Disbursements

  • Communication with opposing party or opposing counsel

  • Negotiating changes to the agreement

  • Changes after the initial draft is approved and reviewed

  • Additional time necessary to receive instructions from client or review draft with client after the initial review and the meeting

  • Opinion Letter to client if necessary

ILA

Independent Legal Advice on a Separation Agreement  - $1,500

​

If you and your former spouse have worked out an agreement your former spouse has had a lawyer draft an agreement you still need your own lawyer to review that agreement for you.  The other lawyer does not work for you and does not owe you any duty.  Make sure you understand the agreement and that it is fair to you by having your own lawyer review it and explain to you, and make sure that it is fair to you.

  • Reviewing the Separation Agreement prior to the meeting

  • Meeting with lawyer to review the Separation Agreement together
